A A Way to End War
A message was sent to world leaders on the 21st July, 2006. This letter was written in response to the Middle East conflict because war is just one expression of on-going frustration and hatred by both sides. If we can understand what's causing the people to feel anger, maybe we can offer solutions to change their situation and ease the conflict and turn darkness into light.

Dear President Bush,
We humbly request your aid in co-operating with other world leaders to put an end to the terrible conflict afflicting the hapless populations in Lebanon, Israel and Palestine.
A show of simultaneous military force by many of the world’s nations off the coastlines of these war-torn countries would begin to send a strong message to all parties that aggression will no longer be tolerated.
We believe that if a number of nations belonging to the global community, exhibit their concerns in a united effort to end all hostilities between individual lands, then those involved in the conflict will cease their actions.
Sanctions must also be applied by all powers against recalcitrant nations and groups to reiterate the united effort of a collective force for world peace - whose time has now surely come.
We are not here to apportion blame or take sides.
We implore you to work together, to overcome the forces of hatred and ignorance, then compel all sides to sit down at the negotiating table, to discuss and determine the borders and general welfare of the region’s inhabitants, as determined by consensus in a final agreement determined by the majority of nations.
The current hostility in the Middle East would merely be the start. Military co-operation by most of the world’s nations should be able to put an end to any conflict - thereby averting catastrophe, saving lives and ending needless hardship.
The benefits of such global co-operation would provide an enormous economic boost to your country.
Nations working together to eliminate war and settle differences in a non-partisan collective manner could significantly reduce the level of uncertainty affecting global trade, investment, production and consumption.
There would be no threat to a nation’s sovereignty or status, rather its voice in the community of nations would be enhanced.
Please let us all live together in peace, co-operation and prosperity.

Realization must now dawn.

There are certain realizations we need to comprehend if we’re ever going to get ahead. If we can establish some universal truths we may be able to cut to the chase, gain more clarity and get our problem-solving done more easily.
To help your understanding, I’m now going to give you some insights.
1. Our past, present and future are not isolated. They must be examined in totality if we’re ever going to change and become a more spiritually advanced civilization. We must take the best parts from history and from our present situation and combine these with progressive future ideas. We must then share this information with everyone, so life can become more equal for all. We must consult on this subject until we understand where we’ve come from and where we want to go.
2. We’ve got to start evaluating why there’s so much turmoil on the Earth. For centuries our planet has been ravaged by war or calamities. Our people have suffered much misery and anguish - and it’s only getting worse. We’re supposed to be an intelligent race, yet till now, no-one has truly evaluated what the cause of our afflictions might be. Surely it’s time we took a good hard look at our civilization and weighed up its pros and cons to truly get the big picture. Could it be that we will never truly be happy until we become spiritual beings? Could there be truth to the concept that we need unity and spirituality in order to make this world Nirvana? Why don’t we try this approach to see if our actions really do have an affect on our universe? What have we got to lose?
3. We need seriously re-assess what’s really important in life. We’ve got to quit worshipping sportsmen, actors and the wealthy in our society and must instead acknowledge intellect, beneficial technology, scientific achievements and those who work with the essential skills which form the basic weave of our existence. We’ve got to realize that without the farmer, we would have no food. Without the seamstress, we would have no clothes. Without engineers we would have no buildings, dams or water supply. Without the skills and abilities of our tradesmen (and women) we would not have many of the essentials we now enjoy. So, let’s get back to the basics and realize that if we destroy the ‘roots’, the ‘tree’ cannot grow.
4. Terrorism has become a part of our world but why is it so prevalent? Has anyone thought about the underlying reasons why people have such hatred towards others? Is it possible that these groups are carrying out such vile acts due to their frustration at the inequality and bias of life? Those who feel they haven’t been dealt a fair deal are far more likely to lash out at anyone they consider to be their oppressors. This could be due to the imbalance between rich and poor, the perceived domination of certain races or religions, the intimidation of superpowers and multi-national corporations or the overt flaunting of wealth and materialism despite the poverty which still exists on the Earth. Could it also be possible that if every person had a reasonable standard of living and a way to express themselves in a positive manner, then terrorism would cease? Is it feasible to teach all people to be spiritual so they actually want to put their energies into positive actions and not destructive ones? I believe these are achievable goals.
5. If we could make the world more balanced, in terms of equality for all, surely this would help bring about peace and security. If, as suggested in the AlterQuest Blueprint, humanity was willing to focus on moving in a forward direction, we would hold in our hands the power to make people happier, society better and could stop mankind from going in never-ending circles. We already have the knowledge. We have the ability. Now it’s up to us to make the changes.
