How  to make an ever-advancing, more spiritual 21st century civilization - which helps ALL the citizens of the Earth to progress and not just a select few.

 

AlterQuest teaches that people need to unite to solve problems and issues which face them in their communities, their countries and ultimately the world, if we are ever going to make a better future.

· People in 1st world countries who have their systems in place, teaching those in the 3rd world how to stand on their own two feet.

AlterQuest is about enthusiasm, energy, zest for life and responsibility for our actions.

                                  There are many alternative, innovative solutions which can be used right now!     Here are some:

 

1. Community banking - so you can shun the large banks with their enormous fees and charges.

2. LETS, a community barter system being utilized in countries such as Australia, Canada and Britain.

3. Community economics. Formation of a local economy, using local currency which can be traded only in your area but can be used to buy goods and services such as food, clothing, medical treatment and many other essentials. This type of economy also promotes local employment for all citizens.

4. Alternative community housing projects where individuals help to build homes for those who can’t afford commercial builders.

5. Communal food gardens. Where members of a community get together to learn how to make a productive fruit and vegetable garden, to provide organic food for themselves and others.

6. Bulk-buying groups which bring the cost of food and other items down to an affordable level. By amalgamating, we can negotiate

     the cost of our necessities, instead of allowing the corporations to dictate what we will pay.

7. Education for all people and not just those who can afford it.

8. Health and social services which are available to all.

9. Methods of utilizing creative approaches to learning and problem-solving.

10. Ways to encourage care and compassion, creating a powerful local resource to help each other in times of need.
